Stronger knowledge and teaching on the EU

The Department of Comparative Politics has recieved funding from the Erasmus+ programme to create a new Jean Monnet module. This is the website of this new module on «European Union Institutions, Politics and Policies» (EUR105). Changes to the course includes more practitioners from the EU in lectures, more seminar teaching with a focus on audiovisual deliverables, and public events.

On this webpage we will post information on the project and events related to it, but most importantly we will make available student produced material on EU-issues in the form of videos, pod-casts and digital posters. Our intention is that this material can be used as a knowledge base on EU issues by other students, professionals in business and industry in the Bergen region, teachers and journalists, and the general public.

The Jean Monnet programme is a quality symbol and the addition of a new module will greatly strenghten our European Studies programme.

In a Europe characterized by many challanges to democracy it is vital to strenghten the knowledge base on EU cooperation and development.
